SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES FRENCH PREPARATORY PROGRAM

►► STUDENTS WHO KNOW FRENCH

(Beginner – Intermediate or Advanced Levels)

Students who already have prior knowledge of French are required to take the proficiency exam (written–oral) on the date and time specified in the University Academic Calendar and in the classrooms announced by the Directorate of the School of Foreign Languages.

It is recommended that this exam be taken by students who are able to follow faculty courses conducted in French.

A student is considered successful if they obtain a minimum score of 60 out of 100 on the French Proficiency Exam.

Students who receive below 60 on the Proficiency Exam will not take the Placement Test. They will be placed into the French Preparatory Program classes based on their proficiency exam results.

►► Students Holding a DELF/B2 Certificate

Students who hold the DELF/B2 (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française B2) certificate must submit this document to the French Preparatory Program Coordinator, Instructor Lena Yeniyorgan (lyeniyorgan@yeditepe.edu.tr).
Students who have obtained a minimum score of 50 out of 100 on the DELF/B2 exam are exempt from the French Proficiency Exam and are eligible to proceed directly to their department.

►► STUDENTS WHO DO NOT KNOW FRENCH

Students with no prior knowledge of French begin the French Preparatory Program courses directly—without taking the French Proficiency Exam—on the date and time indicated in the University Academic Calendar and in the classrooms announced by the Directorate of the School of Foreign Languages.

►► Student Information Form

Each student is required to complete the “Student Information Form” during registration and submit it to the Student Affairs Office of the School of Foreign Languages.
