French Preparatory Program

The French Preparatory Program for the Department of Political Science and International Relations is an intensive and interdisciplinary language education designed to equip students with a solid linguistic and academic foundation before they begin their undergraduate studies.

The program treats French not merely as a communicative tool but also as a language of reasoning and analysis used in global affairs, while aiming to develop students’ linguistic skills in a holistic manner. Students who successfully complete the program are expected to attain CEFR level B2, enabling them to follow departmental courses, participate in discussions, and comprehend and interpret academic texts effectively.

In the French Preparatory Program, the instructional groups are structured as follows:

Group A – Beginner Level: Instruction is provided at the A1–A2 levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Group B – Intermediate and Advanced Levels: Instruction is provided at the B1–B2 levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
