German Preparation Program

Yeditepe University is one of the few universities in Türkiye that offers a German Preparatory Program. Our program is designed to equip students with a strong linguistic foundation and to position them ahead in both academic and professional life.
Our aim is to ensure that students view German not merely as a course, but as a gateway to international success.
Our mission is to provide students with German language skills that will enable them to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and social contexts, in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

In our courses, language is approached not only as a set of rules but as a tool that shapes thought, culture, and communication.

The German Preparatory Program is delivered for two distinct academic groups of students at our university:

Associate Degree Preparatory Program

This program, designed for students of the Vocational School, aims to enable learners to use German effectively in their educational and professional lives.
By the end of the program, our students achieve CEFR B1-level proficiency, gaining the ability to communicate in basic professional contexts and understand occupational terminology.

Undergraduate Preparatory Program

This program, offered for students of the German International Business Management Department, aims to help learners use German fluently in academic and professional settings.
By the end of the program, our students reach CEFR C1 level, enabling them to understand academic texts, deliver presentations, and express themselves confidently on complex topics.

Our programs employs communicative and student-centered teaching methods. The four essential language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) are developed in a balanced manner throughout the courses. Our experienced instructors closely monitor the learning process, taking into account students’ individual learning needs.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The aim of the German Preparatory Program is to educate students as individuals who can communicate on a global scale and use German effectively in their academic and professional lives. The program seeks not only to help students gain linguistic proficiency but also to foster cultural awareness, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills.

PROGRAM GOALS

Germany is one of the countries with which Türkiye conducts the highest volume of trade.
In addition, a significant number of Turkish-German companies operate in our country. Therefore, our graduates serve as a valuable resource for these companies.
Believing that knowing German—and using it at an advanced level—creates a competitive advantage in the business world, we have set the following goals:

  • To develop students’ language proficiency in accordance with CEFR standards,
  • To enable them to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and cultural contexts,
  • To support the development of cultural awareness and critical thinking skills,
  • To ensure that learning German becomes a sustainable, long-term skill.
